The 2026 event is open to CVSan residents and businesses only with an appointment.
CVSan anticipates accepting drop-off of textiles, documents for shredding, e-waste, and participants may also pick up three 1-cubic foot bags of compost. APPOINTMENTS ARE REQUIRED. DROP-INS MAY NOT PARTICIPATE.
All eligible registrants with a valid QR Code are required to present their QR Code at the event check-in station.

CVSan Earth Day 2026

Earth Day events put into practice CVSan’s vision statement to practice environmental stewardship and to protect our resources. Please consider helping with one of the clean-up and beautification opportunities offered at Castro Valley parks and public areas. Registration for volunteers is now open here.
Please note that CVSan requires volunteers under the age of 18 to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who must sign a registration and hold harmless agreement at the event. Click here for a full list of projects and more event info.

The Rowell Ranch Pro Rodeo is a longstanding community event that brings friends and neighbors together to celebrate the region’s ranching, equestrian, and cultural heritage.
