Do You Need A Debris/Roll-Off Box?

Please see below to determine what size you need, read the debris/roll-off box guidelines, and learn more about debris/roll-off box billing.

First, determine the material you are trying to dispose of:

wood groupWOOD – Clean lumber. Painted and stained OK. PLEASE NOTE: pressure-treated lumber and other treated wood waste (ex., from fencing or decking) is NOT ACCEPTED. These materials have been considered hazardous waste in California since 2021.
yard trimmingsYARD WASTE/COMPOSTABLE MATERIAL – Things that were once alive, such as yard trimmings, grass clippings, leaves, and branches.

Next, determine what size debris/roll-off you will need:

Size Matters! Choosing the right size debris box is important. Opting for a debris/roll-off box that is too small for the job will require extra services and costs. Material cannot be higher than the edge of the container. DO NOT OVER FILL THE CONTAINER.

Debris/Roll-Off Box:Description:
6_yard box6-CUBIC YARD BOX* (12 feet long x 8 feet wide x 2 feet high) - Used for junk removal, very small renovation projects and the removal of dirt, sod, brick, rock, cinder block, asphalt and concrete.
14_yard box14-CUBIC YARD BOX (14 feet long x 8 feet wide x 3 feet 9 inches high) - Used for small-scale projects, such as attic, shed, basement, and garage clean outs, small kitchen or bathroom remodeling or renovation.*
20_yard box20-CUBIC YARD BOX (18 feet long x 8 feet wide x 4 feet high) - Used for larger-scale projects such as large attic, shed, basement, and garage clean puts; large bathroom or kitchen remodeling, or renovation; and removal of large amounts of construction and demolition material*
30_yard box30-CUBIC YARD BOX (18 feet long x 8 feet wide x 6 feet high) - Used for major projects to dispose of large amounts of construction and demolition material*, large garage and home renovations or additions, new home construction, and large structural builds and whole-house clean outs.
40_yard box40-CUBIC YARD BOX (18 feet long x 8 feet wide x 8 feet high) - Used for large renovation, remodeling, construction projects, roof tear-offs and replacements, siding disposal, large construction and demolition jobs*, and commercial clean outs.
*Please note: disposal of heavy materials, such as dirt, sod, brick, and concrete, are limited to the 6-cubic yard box size.

Please read the following debris/roll-off box guidelines and rules:

DELIVERY/PICKUP: Delivery and/or service times cannot be guaranteed. Please call our office two (2) business days before you need a delivery or pickup of the container. Don’t forget to include if the container is to be picked up with no return.

CONTAMINATION: Loads characterized as contaminated (i.e., trash in organics, etc.) by the landfill shall be charged at loose garbage rates (Fees are outlined in the rate for service section). Contaminated containers will not be returned to the customer to offload–the container will be dumped at the landfill. The customer will not be notified of a load characterization change.

NEIGH! MOO! BAA! CLUCK!: We do not accept stable waste in our containers.

DO NOT OVERFILL THE CONTAINER: Material cannot be higher than the edge of the container.

CLOSING THE CONTAINER: When closing the container, please make sure the T-bar is fully locked into the top and bottom channel locks (see graphic below). We cannot pick up the container if these are not locked correctly.

Here are the debris/roll-off box billing rules and guidelines:

PRE-PAYMENT REQUIRED: All debris box customers must pay a Pre-Payment per box per pull. The Per Pull Charges and Weight Fees are removed from the Pre-Payment. PLEASE NOTE: remaining charges exceeding the prepayment will be invoiced. (Pre-payment does not always cover the entire cost of the debris box.)

  • The Pre-Payment is $1,000.00 for commercial customers per box Per Pull.
  • The Pre-Payment is $500.00 for residential customers per box Per Pull.

BILLING INCLUDES: A Placement Fee, a Per Pull Charge, and a Weight Fee for each time the container is serviced. Any remaining charges exceeding the pre-payment will be billed accordingly.

Here are the debris/roll-off box billing rules and guidelines:
  • Placement Fee: This covers the initial delivery of the container. If the container is placed in the street, there is an additional flasher fee per pull.
  • Per Pull Charge: Each time the container is serviced.
  • Weight Fee: Each time the container is serviced. The weight fee is based on the type and weight of the material inside the container. The material weight is measured at the disposal or processing site.
  • Trip Fee: Charged if the driver is unable to service the container (such as overloading, open box, inability to access it, etc.).
  • Demurrage Charge: If the container is not serviced within seven days of placement or last service, a demurrage charge is applied each day until service is performed.

Payment information:

PAYMENT: You may pay by company check, personal check, money order, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, & Discover), or cash (no third-party checks). This is required for each box, depending on the amount of service.

IF A BALANCE IS OWED: ACI will invoice you at the end of the billing cycle.

IF A REFUND IS DUE: A check/credit card refund will be processed within 30 days of the last day of the billing cycle.

DELIVERY/PICKUP: Delivery and/or service times cannot be guaranteed. Please call our office two (2) business days before you need the container delivered or picked up. Don’t forget to include whether the container will be picked up with no return.
