Used Motor Oil/Filters and Cooking Oils

CURBSIDE RECYCLING OF USED MOTOR OIL AND MOTOR OIL FILTERS

Set out up to three one-gallon jugs and three filters curbside per week for pick-up on your regular collection day.

ACI CURBSIDE MOTOR OIL FILTER

 

USED MOTOR OIL COLLECTION PROGRAM:

  • Accepted fluids: used motor oil.
  • Anti-freeze, brake fluid, and other automotive fluids are NOT accepted curbside. These items need to be disposed of as hazardous waste. Click here for more info.
  • Customers may use their own 1-gallon, screw top container.
  • Top must securely close.
  • Oil filters must be in clear zipper-lock style bags.
  • Place on curb (not in the gutter) next to the carts* for collection. (Multi-Family tenants with shared collection service see below.)
  • Used Oil Recovery Kits (oil jugs and oil filter bags) may be requested from and delivered by ACI. Contact us for more information.

*MULTI-FAMILY CUSTOMERS WITH SHARED COLLECTION SERVICE

  • Tenants must establish a safe contained area for oils, and filter bags in the collection enclosure(s) with their complex owner or manager. The area’s location must be shared with ACI personnel and added to the complex customer data account for proper collection services.

COOKING OIL RECYCLING PROGRAM:

(DO NOT MIX MOTOR OIL AND COOKING OIL IN THE SAME CONTAINER)

  • Used cooking oil can be placed curbside next to the organics cart* in a screw-top plastic container that is no taller than 12 inches in height. (Multi-Family tenants with shared collection service see below.)
  • The original cooking oil container can be used if it meets these specifications.
  • Please label the container “Cooking Oil”.
  • Used Oil Recovery Kits (oil jugs) may be requested from and delivered by ACI.
